Vegan Bulla Cake

Ingredients

  • 7 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder.
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda.
  • 16 tablespoons or 1 cup vegan margarine.
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract.
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
  • 3 cups brown sugar.
  • 2 cups water.

Instructions
  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
  • 2. In a bowl, combine water and sugar to form a syrup.
  • 3. Melt margarine in microwave or saucepan.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, combine and mix all dry ingredients.
  • 5. Make a hole in the middle of dry ingredients and add sugary water mixture and margarine.
  • 6. Mix ingredients until dough is formed.
  • 7. Sprinkle flour on board and knead dough for few minutes.
  • 8. Roll dough into 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4 inch discs.
  • 9. Place discs on greased baking sheet.
  • 10.Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until brown.
  • 11.Serve warm.
