Ingredients

  • 2 cups self rising flour.
  • 1 cup cold soymilk.
  • 1 oz. vegan margarine.
  • 1 cup vegetable oil.
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt.

Instructions
  • 1. Mix flour, salt, margarine and soymilk, slowly add soymilk while kneading.
  • 2. Knead ingredients into dough until moist, but not too pasty.
  • 3. Pinch off 1 inch diameter balls.
  • 4. Pre-heat skillet with vegetable oil.
  • 5. Once oil has been heated, reduce flame to low.
  • 6. Add as many dough balls as will fit.
  • 7. Once golden brown, turn each dumpling over and fry other side until golden brown.
  • 8. Remove dumplings from pan and place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • 9. Serve warm with Callaloo or Ackee.
